Elizabeth Overweg - Violin
Elizabeth is a native of New York City and is currently a violinist with the Louisiana Philharmonic in New Orleans, LA. Her professional career has taken her from positions with the Orquesta Sinfonica de Castilla y Leon in Valladolid, Spain to concertmaster of the Stockton Symphony. She has also been a frequent performer with the Kennedy Center for the Arts Opera and Ballet.
Her festival experience has taken her to the Spoleto Festival in Italy, Colorado Music Festival in Boulder, CO, Aspen, CO, and the Bowdoin Music Festival.
Elizabeth studied at Juilliard Prep-College with an honorary scholarship and received her degree in Political Science at Barnard College. She received a Masters Degree in Music Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and a Masters in Chamber and Orchestral Studies at UNV-Reno.
Elizabeth lives in New Orleans with her husband and daughter.
